Personal year: the nine-year rhythm and how to find yours
Besides the numbers fixed by your name and birth date, numerology has numbers that change with time. The personal year is the most popular, showing where you are in a nine-year loop.
How to calculate
Add your reduced birth day, your reduced birth month and the digits of the year you want, then reduce to one digit. For the personal year, 11 and 22 count as 2 and 4.
Example: born on 18 April, looking at 2027. Day 18 reduces to 9, month 4 stays 4, and the year 2027 adds to 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11. The total 9 + 4 + 11 = 24, then 2 + 4 = 6. The personal year is 6.

How to use it
- Use it as a hint about rhythm: a 1 year suits starting, a 9 year suits clearing and finishing.
- Do not turn it into an excuse to wait or a rule to obey. A 7 year can still be busy, you are just reminded to leave room for deep thinking.
- From the personal year you can also work out the personal month and personal day, smaller beats inside the year.
